Workshop on the use of TABLET PC for innovative teaching

Makerere University Faculty of Computing & IT will host a half day workshop on the use of Tablets PCs for Innovative Teaching as part of implementation. This is part of the project titled, ‘Using State-of-the-art Wireless and Mobile Technology for Mobile Computing Courses’ funded by Hewlett-Packard (HP). The main objective of the project is to introduce efficient interaction mechanisms between students and a lecturer in a large undergraduate class by using advanced mobile/wireless technologies.
The workshop will be held at the Faculty of Computing and Informatics Technology, Makerere University on September 11, 2009 Starting at 9:00am. Activities of the workshop include:
- Launch of the project
- Using Tablets for efficient teaching: Hands-on sessions for Academic Staff of the Faculty of Computing and Informatics Technology
