Networking Research Group (NETrG) Research Group

Networking research group undertakes teaching and research on networking topics. We conduct research in a wide range of networking areas that include network performance analysis, network protocols and systems designs, wireless LAN, wireless mesh networks focusing on WiMAX technology, wireless sensor networks, network security, large-scale distributed networks, etc.

Our general objective is to conduct research to contribute to the advancement of the networking technologies world-wide. Our specific goal however is to contribute to the development of the local/regional community. We therefore emphasize on research areas that lead to real implementations and deployments of networked systems that either directly respond to the local/regional needs or that demonstrate potential for future application. We work closely with Mobile Computing and Communications Research group in the School of CIT.
