Message from HoD Computer Science

Dear visitor,
I warmly welcome you to the website for the Department of Computer Science, School of Computing and Informatics Technology, Makerere University. In the Department of Computer Science, we seek to contribute to national and regional development through high quality teaching, research and outreach in the field of computer science. We have academic programs which we continuously enrich so as to meet the the changing needs of the computing world.

If you have accessed this website by searching for specific information, it is my hope that you get all the information you need. If you have accessed only by curiosity, it is still my hope that your curiosity is satisfied. In case there is any further information that you would like to get, please feel free to send us an email, we shall provide it to you as soon as possible.

We are a learning and researching community. We therefore have a lot to learn from you. This can be in any aspect of our operation. Likewise, we would like to team up with you for both our sakes. This can be in terms of collaborative research, development projects, field attachment of students, etc. This will go a step in achieving the aspirations of the department and hence School and Makerere University in general.

It is my hope that you will get all what you want from this website. If this visit to our website is a starting point of our future collaborative work. Then the website will have served its ideal purpose.
