Message from HoD Information Systems

I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the Information Systems Department website. In the Department of Information Systems, we provide first class teaching and research in Information Systems and other related areas to students and working professionals from the African region and beyond.  Our aim is to train our graduates to be able to integrate information technology solutions and businesses in order to meet the information needs of businesses and other enterprises.
Our department is proud to have a state of the art GIS laboratory which was instituted by our Nuffic partners to facilitate GIS and Remote sensing research work and provide highly specialized courses.

If you are a prospective student, consider joining the next generation of Information Systems Professionals by enrolling in our programmes. If you are a supporter, you can witness the impact your ideas and resources are having. If you have thoughts about new opportunities to promote service, or training, or solutions, I hope you will find further insights here and perhaps work with us to do even more. And if you are already at the department, as a student, staff member, or faculty, I hope you can use this site to make your work even more productive and share with us the ways in which we can do even better.

As you browse our web site, we hope you will discover new information, ideas, and inspiration. Scrolling through these pages you will learn about our degrees and specialised programs, our staff, and our cutting-edge research centers.

Dr. Agnes R. Semwanga

Head
