On 22nd July 2011, Makerere University held a special graduation ceremony, in which 1190 students graduated. 100 of these students were from CoCIS with one PHD in Information Systems. In his remarks, the College Principal, Prof. Ikoja Odongo, congratulated the graduates and encouraged continuing students to strive towards completion. The Vice Chancellor of Makerere University, Prof. Venansius Baryamureeba, thanked the organizing committee for the efforts in making the 22nd graduation a successful.
